All of our products are created with top quality organic vegetable oils, butters, botanicals, natural colorants and essential oils. We DO NOT use any preservatives, artificial colourants or fragrances.
It is important to READ LABELS for everything we consume. Handcrafted soap is no different. Not all handmade soap is created equal. Some soapmakers do use dyes to colour, fragrances to scent etc. So take the time to read the label and make sure you're getting what you want and what you're paying for.
Also, many soapmakers use the same recipe for every soap with a different scent and colour and give it a different name. At Bell Soap, our organic bar soaps are created with different recipes for each bar to make it special and specific for your needs. All of our soaps are gentle for your skin and can be used by all skin types. However if you have problem skin such as very dry then its best to select from our soaps made for dry skin. Another example, if you have acne, its best to give the Activated Charcoal Bar a try.

Sodium Hydroxide -NaOH - lye - is used for our bar soap. It is required to create the chemical process "saponification" that is turning the oil into salt. The sodium hydroxide is required to make soap, but don't be thinking this will be a harsh soap - not at all. Once the soap is saponified and cured, there is no sodium hydroxide left in the soap.
Potassium Hydroxide - KOH - lye - is used in our liquid soap. It is required to create the saponification process and allows the vegetable oils to remain in a liquid form but be soap.
Citric Acid - is used to lower the pH levels of the liquid soap.
